About School
Established in 1920, Modern School Barakhamba Road has been synonymous with holistic education coupled with Indian ethos. It was to execute this dream envisioned by Lala Raghubir Singh, that his father, Lala Sultan Singh, a prominent businessman of Delhi, donated his sprawling mansionin Daryaganj for the cause.
Lala Raghubir Singh was the spirit and the soul of the school. As the primary Founder of the school, he left no stone unturned to ensure the realisation of his dreams. He teamed up with Sardar Sobha Singh, a renowned contractor instrumental in building New Delhi, to build a legacy that continues till today in the pristine glory of the environment. To implement his ideas, Mrs Kamla Bose came from Calcutta to take over as the first Principal of the school
Mrs. Kamala Bose takes the pride of place in leading her students from the front and ensuring the realisation of the dreams of Lala Raghubir Singh, who believed in the adage : “EDUCATION IS WHAT EDUCATION DOES”..

Admission Process :
All students of grade V of R.S.Junior Modern School, Humayun Road, New Delhi (the junior wing of our school) routinely get admitted in grade VI in our school. Apart from this, few students are admitted in the boarding only, depending on the number of vacancies. In class XI, meritorious students may apply.
CLASS XI (GRADE 11)
STEP 1- REGISTRATION
For getting Admission in class XI, the Interested Applicants should fill the Application Form available online on the School Website, mentioning whether the Admission is sought as a DAY SCHOLAR or BOARDER, details of the Stream required i.e. SCIENCE, COMMERCE or HUMANITIES, the Subject Combination, and must attach a copy of his/her Class X Pre-board Result as well as the CBSE/ any other Equivalent Board marksheet, duly attested by the Principal.
Admission Procedure:

Students should apply online by clicking on the Online Registration Link. No Applications received in any other form will be considered/accepted as Registration for Class XI Admission Session 2019-2020. |

The Candidate will appear for the test only after intimation via email/sms from School Authorities regarding the date of the Admission Test. Kindly do not contact the School by phone or in person regarding the same. |
| 3. |
Candidates who have appeared in the Admission Test once need not apply again. |
| 4. |
Selection Criteria: The selection of Applicants for the Provisional Admission will be on the basis of their performance in the Written Test and interview. The Admission will only be considered confirmed after receiving the CBSE / any other Equivalent Board Result and payment of fees. |

The School Administration reserves the right to offer admission to meritorious applicants only, since there are limited seats in all three streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities. |

The School will not entertain any request for change of Stream/Status after selection for admission. |

STEP 2- WRITTEN TEST
After the scrutiny of Applications, short listed Candidates will be intimated about the date and time of the Admission Test via email/sms.
Important Instructions To The Applicants Appearing For The Written Test:
A. The Applicants are requested to carry the following (in original) at the School
(i) Admission Form
(ii) A photo identity Proof
(iii) A self-attested printout/photocopy of the Class X Pre Board Mark Sheet issued by the School and CBSE / any other Equivalent Board Mark-Sheet.
Only the Shortlisted candidates will be allowed to sit for the admission Test.
B. Candidates will be tested on the basis of CBSE Class X (2018-2019) Syllabus in the following subjects
(i) For Science Stream - English, Science, Mathematics.
(ii) For Commerce/Humanities Stream - English, Social Science and Mathematics
STEP 3- INTERVIEW
Selected Candidates shall be intimated through email/sms and called for the interview by the School. Both the parents along with the Selected Candidate should attend the Interview.
The following documents will be required at the time of Provisional Admission, after selection in the Interview:
ICSE/ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT BOARD
(a) Original TC duly stamped and signed by Principal and countersigned by CISCE (Board) or any other Equivalent Board - Within 10 days
(b) Downloaded Mark-sheet- At the time of Admission
(c) Self-Attested photocopy of Migration Certificate- At the time of Admission
(d) Self-Attested photocopy of Original Mark-sheet- At the time of Admission
(e) Self-Attested Photocopy of Original Passing Certificate- At the time of Admission
(f) 4 Black and white photographs of exact size 3.5 x 2.5 cm with the name of the student printed on the photograph - At the time of Admission
(g) Self-Attested photocopy of Board Admit Card- At the time of Admission
(h)Self-Attested photocopy of Aadhar Card - At the time of Admission
Parents are also required to carry the cheque book for payment of fees.
CBSE BOARD
(a) Original TC duly stamped and signed by Principal - Within a week
(b) Attested copy of Class X Board Mark-sheet - Within a month
(c) Self-Attested downloaded Mark-sheet - At the time of Admission
