Founded in1975 under the ageis of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Committee,GHPS,Vasant Vihar is located in the posh south Delhi area. Spread over 9 acres of land, it provides a noise free environment to the students. The school with its motto\\"vidya vichari ta paropkari\\" meaning thereby that he who does well to others is learned, follows it too. The school firmly rooted in the sikh culture and values imparts the same.\\" The school is doing its bit to make people aware about our religion\\", says Harleen kaur ,a class XII science student.\\" Every morning hymns are sung from Guru Granth Sahib thereby teaching us the values conductive to our culture\\", she adds. The school well equipped with latest infrastructure makes learning pleasurable experience. Math, Biotech, Science and English lab enable the students to learn in an interesting innovative manner. The pre-primary section with special furniture and all facilities for four year old, nurture the child in a homely environment. The school also has a separate section for the differently-able students.\\" We did not want these special children to left out. They are very much part of the GHPS home and so we started this section eight years ago specially for the\\" says the principal. Regular counseling sessions to boost their confidence help them work and perform at par with their able counter parts Olympic size swimming pool, plush conference room with modern technology, and indoor gymnasium and auditorium are some of the other features that adds to be the growth of the students overall personality.
